Troll Hunter – An Honest Review

An honest, biased review of the 2010 Norwegian found footage horror film ‘Troll Hunter’.

The 2010 horror film is the story of three Norwegian university students trying to expose a bear poacher, who happens to be a troll hunter.

PLOT:

The three students meet the hunter, Hans ( Otto Jespersen ) in the woods, who unsurprisingly despises these meddling kids with every fibre of his being. After pestering him like a PETA agent across Norway, he eventually allows them to document him on the condition they do every and anything he says.

CONCLUSSION:

Despite most found-footage films which follow a predictible, unintimidating formula – Troll Hunter breaks that entirely! Never in my life before had I seen, nor did I expect to have such a good experience watching a movie in NORWEGIAN! The acting from everybody was believable, the visual effects made the trolls fit the scenary and is damn near the closest we’ll probably get to a modern day Blair Witch. 8/10.
