The 2020 sci-fi flick was directed by George Clooney and written by Mark L. Smith. This may sound like an introduction to one of my ‘An Honest Review’ installments. But nope, trailer breakdown instead.
Breakdown:
So in the seemingly distant future George Clooney lives in Antarctica. He knows about some spaceship that probably visited an alien planet. Meanwhile Earth looks like it’s about to end. So to save the human race, he needs to find a way to contact them.
Felicity Jones is one of those astronauts. Demian Bichir on the other hand, I assume is also onboard, though I couldn’t spot him anywhere-so hard to tell.
Storywise, this movie looks kind of meh, visuallywise however, it’s stupendous. Best of the best out there. Also explains the reporter 100 million$ budget.
To be completely honest, the trailer kinda all over the place. Not appearing above generic actiony-disaster type of stuff. No characterisations, no plot giveaways.no premises even. Somehow, The Midnight Sky seems to give away nothing but also everything about the movie at the same time.
Will I Watch It?
Honestly, not sure. Good cast and all, but the trailer seems to give away more than it should. Maybe one day when I’m bored and scrolling through Netflix I’ll check it out and maybe even make a review on it. I’d give this trailer a 5.5/10.
Want me to do more trailer breakdowns in the future? If so, lemme’ know in the comments below.
