Cosmic Sin – An Honest Review

An honest, biased review of the 2021 sci-action flick ‘Cosmic Sin’ starring Frank Grillo and Bruce Willis.

Cosmic Sin was written and directed by Edward Drake, with additional writing by Corey Large. It’s the story of ex-space-general James Ford ( Bruce Willis ) as humanity discovers a hostile alien race.

PLOT:

Unfortunately, there’s not too much of a plot to follow. Mostly just aliens killing stuff, people running around, screaming, dying. That stuff. Anyways – Frank Grillo’s character at least gives off his usual edgyish NY talking dude personality.

Then aliens show up, and people kill aliens….there’s not plot here, okay? No point in trying. Bruce Willis wasted his time here he should’ve spent finding a decent role, and Grillo at the very least tried to make a decent movie. Aliens, fight, die, the END.

CONCLUSSION:

There really isn’t a whole lot to praise here, or even critisize. Honestly I went in here with pretty low expectations and I guess I got what I went in for. A mediocre movie with Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo sprinkled in.

But it would be unfair to not mention the quality of the film’s visual effects. While yes, most of the film ( especially the astronaut suits ) look pretty cheap, there are a few CGI-intense scenes that actually do pull themselves off. Like Rogue One special effects levels almost. Pretty good stuff.

Otherwise, it’s a fairly mediocre film. Didn’t hate it, didn’t like it. Definately wouldn’t watch it again. Idk. 2/10.
